About CARES® Classroom Guides for Administrators and Educators

The CARES® Classroom Guides are intended for administrators and educators who are presenting CARES® programs to a group of employees by projecting the online training in a classroom setting. The guides can also be used as an optional in-person follow-up session to reinforce key concepts after individuals have completed the online training on their own. There is also an implementation checklist that can help to integrate CARES training into your overall “culture change” plans.

The CARES Classroom Guides are available for the following programs:

  • CARES® Dementia Basics
  • CARES® Dementia-Related Behavior
  • CARES® Dementia Advanced Care
  • CARES® End-of-Life Dementia Care
  • CARES® Activities of Daily Living

CARES Classroom Guides contain an implementation checklist, ready-to-use classroom activities for each module, practical ideas and worksheets, and an observational checklist tool to assess staff knowledge and person-centered care behavior before and after CARES training.
