ST. PAUL, MN—May 15, 2007. HealthCare Interactive, Inc’s (HCI) is excited to announce its new student internship program in conjunction with the University of Thomas in St. Paul, MN. Over the coming months, three internship position will be available to current collegiate students and recent graduates—one in the area of computer programming, one in the area of Internet marketing, and one in the area of traditional print marketing.
Interns will help develop and market two of HCI’s commercial products: the CARES™ training program for nursing home aides, and the Savvy Caregiver DVD program for family members (due to be released in September, 2007). The program will include a structured learning approach with specific educational outcomes that will help ensure that applicants will have the ability to apply actual principles being learned in the classroom to an innovative set of learning products focused on the important issue of memory loss and dementia care. Consultation between HCI personnel and University of St. Thomas business professors will also be available.
The University of St Thomas is one of the top universities in the Midwest, according to U.S. News and World Report, and is one of the top 25 universities nationally in entrepreneurship for the past five years, according to Success Magazine. The University’s Opus College of Business has also been recognized nationally as a leader in ethical business education.
According to HCI’s Beth Hoeppner, “UST is an exceptional University with a long-standing and well-respected business program at both the undergraduate and graduate level. Their ethical focus makes them the perfect choice for us, as it is a quality valued by each and every person in our organization. Making internships available to current students means we, as an organization, are giving students the opportunity to apply what they’re learning in the classroom to real-world business projects. We are thrilled to be establishing this program and hope it will be equally valuable to the students and HCI.”
The University of St. Thomas is the alma mater of HCI President John Hobday and Senior Instructional Designer and Video Producer Beth Hoeppner.
